Quentic has been selected as a recipient of the 2019 Smart Innovator Award for excellence in Sustainability Management Software (SMS). The award is conferred in conjunction with the publication of Verdantix’ research in an annual report on sustainability management. The report provides an overview of the market and the capabilities of 19 software platforms to buyers of sustainability management software.
Verdantix defines SMS as “software applications and platforms that help managers measure, track and report their firm’s overlapping impacts on the environmental, social, governance and economic spheres, as well as develop and implement strategies to reduce negative impacts over time.”* The independent research and consulting firm makes it clear that sustainability management and reporting are becoming increasingly important across multiple industries. Over the past decade, the sustainability management field has transformed from a predominant focus on complying with environmental regulations and reducing greenhouse gas emissions to a broader concentration on materiality assessments, environmental, social and governmental factors, and supply-chain sustainability.
Pulling data from a myriad of sources
Multinationals may face challenges in efficiently pulling accurate data from the various sites and countries where they operate. According to the Verdantix report, Quentic Sustainability “allows users to access indicators and reporting lists in multiple languages and provides translations to individuals responsible for approving metrics and recorded data.”*
Innovative data tracking and analysis
Verdantix also sees Quentic’s data tracking and analysis features in a positive light. “Quentic integrates state-of-the-art business intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau to analyze sustainability data and reveal trends.”* Since Quentic Platform’s release 11.3 in June 2019, users have the option of integrating an external BI solution, making the visual data analysis of sustainability indicators even more intuitive and in depth. Quentic’s analytics dashboard creates new ways for users to visually analyze data from their sustainability indicators. The flexible integration of solutions such as Tableau, Qlik or Power BI allows for a clear and precise display of data. Users can produce interactive diagrams with enhanced functionality, giving them better ways to communicate ongoing developments and current trends to top level management.
