The 9th HS2E Forum took place on May 22 to 23, 2019 in Berlin. Around 300 participants from over 100 different companies participated in the Quentic user summit and accompanying conference. With input from Quentic experts and partners as well as external speakers, they discussed the latest trends and best practice examples in the areas of occupational health and safety, environmental management, and sustainability.
Two days full of knowledge, dialogue, shared experience, and inspiration: Quentic created an ecosystem to encourage HSE and CSR actors from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland to achieve more together. The focus was on fostering a direct exchange between users and expert visitors as well as enabling personal discussions with Quentic specialists. 26 workshops, 17 lectures, 4 open spaces, and 2 world cafés conveyed hands-on knowledge and promoted networking across both departmental and company boundaries. In the accompanying trade exhibition, Quentic partners such as SAT and IbUQAS provided information on compliance, occupational health and safety, environmental protection, and energy efficiency.
Assessments and insights: From experts. For experts.
Lectures alternated between external speakers and experienced Quentic users. Topics such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, effective sustainability management, and current challenges in international occupational health and safety were all addressed. The event was formally opened by Quentic managing partners and founders Markus Becker and Sebastian Mönnich. This was followed by keynote lectures on the Industry 4.0. Renowned occupational safety experts Prof. Dr. Volker Nürnberg and Dr. Herbert Engel from the Fraunhofer Institut HHI shed light on how new technologies and working methods will shape occupational health and safety in the future. Philipp Unger shared his experiences in introducing Google Glass at the Schnellecke Group. Afterwards, Michael Klein provided valuable insight into emergency management at Balluff GmbH. Quentic customers such as Carl Zeiss AG, BayWa AG, or Vaillant GmbH reported on the use of the Quentic SaaS solution in practice and described how companies can utilize it to enhance their EHS and CSR management.
In the evening after the first day of the event, the participants were able to continue their discussions at an evening event at the Berliner Wasserwerk.
