In February 2021, Quentic successfully completed two important audits. The provider of software and services for Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has renewed its certifications for the international standards ISO 9001 (quality management) and ISO/IEC 27001 (information security). Both audits were conducted by the DQS, one of the world’s leading certification bodies for management systems and processes.
ISO 9001 is the most widely used international standard in quality management. One of its central features is the risk-based approach, according to which certified companies identify opportunities and risks, derive suitable measures and evaluate their effectiveness. A central criterion in this audit is customer satisfaction, which is substantially ensured through continuous improvement of internal operating processes. Likewise, management commitment to quality guidelines, leadership and employee motivation all play a crucial role, as they are the basis for consistent high quality products and services. "Customer satisfaction and involvement are firmly anchored in Quentic's values. Our aspiration is to establish long-term relationships with our customers based on direct dialogue and the principle of equal partnership. Hence, we align our processes accordingly. Independent audits, such as the ISO 9001, help us to evaluate these efforts and to make them even more visible to our customers," confirms Paul Silbermann, Information Security Officer and Quality Manager at Quentic.
Along with the audit for quality management systems, Quentic's management system for information security was also recertified according to ISO/IEC 27001. As an integrated software solution, Quentic combines tasks, data and processes across the fields of occupational health and safety and environmental, energy and sustainability management. As this means that a great deal of company data are collected in one place, information security has always been a top priority for Quentic and its customers. Ensuring that Quentic’s IT services, consulting activities and its online software platform offering are certified according to the internationally recognized standard ISO/IEC 27001 is an important basis for the trust of our customers. In addition, the company has also demonstrated its commitment to achieving the highest level of information security by becoming a TISAX® participant. This standard was developed by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), and is based on the cross-industry ISO/IEC 27001 norm, but includes even stricter requirements in some aspects.
