March 02, 2021

Markus Becker, CEO at Quentic

Quentic, one of the leading providers of software and services for occupational safety, environmental and sustainability management, is pleased to look back on a successful year in 2020, despite the Coronavirus crisis. The company was able to continue its ambitious growth strategy and set a particular focus on providing a safe and attractive working environment for talents throughout Europe.

Helping companies weather the pandemic with digital EHS processes

Even though the effects of economic turbulence continue to be felt, Quentic has been able to get over 100 new customers excited about its integrated EHS software solution, a number comparable with previous years. The company is particularly enthusiastic about its positive international development, having greatly increased its reach at the start of 2020 with new offices in France, Spain, Italy and Sweden. In all these countries, Quentic was able to win over new customers in spite of the difficulties posed by the Corona pandemic. New customers throughout Europe include thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel, Campari Group, or the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Materials Recycling and Resource Strategies IWKS.

Quentic’s integrated software platform and app support companies in all industries to design legally sound processes for occupational safety, environmental management, legal compliance and corporate risk management. “Naturally, our customers also had a lot of questions and concerns, but the topic of health and safety at work has massively shifted into a focal point for both companies and the public alike during the past year. At the same time, requirements have only increased in the fields of climate protection and environmental management. Quentic is therefore really supporting companies in managing the big crises of the present moment,” explains Markus Becker, CEO and Co-Founder of Quentic.

Responsibility and diversity make Quentic one of the best employers in the industry

Quentic places a special value on being there for its employees during these challenging pandemic times. “We have been doing all we can to support our colleagues with the challenges of home office. For this reason, everyone has been very highly engaged throughout this period of crisis,” confirms Markus Becker.

The company has been working intensively to align its growth and COVID requirements with its responsibilities as an employer. At the end of 2020, both Berlin locations joined to form a new, shared headquarters. Large office spaces paired with portable amenities allow for safe work both in the office and from home, along with providing space for further growth. Even in 2020, Quentic has been working to further expand its local and international teams.

An internal employee questionnaire provided further confirmation that Quentic is an attractive employer for talents throughout Europe. By undergoing an audit of employee satisfaction and company culture, the company was once again awarded the title of “Great Place to Work”.

“A supportive and open culture that fosters trust characterizes work at Quentic. We want to make room for diverse perspectives. This has been a core part of our culture since the company’s founding and we intend to continue to strengthen these values,” asserts Becker. Quentic reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining a respectful and unprejudiced working environment by signing the Charta der Vielfalt (German Diversity Charter) in 2020 as well.
