Quentic looks back on a successful year. While many companies from the IT sector, including Software as a Service companies, faced economic headwinds in 2022, the leading provider of SaaS solutions for EHSQ and ESG management continued to grow. Once again, the Berlin-based company significantly increased its revenues and expanded its customer base to more than 900 companies across Europe – and beyond. The acquisition by AMCS offers further growth potential for the future: Thanks to the strong position of AMCS in the North American market, Quentic will expand its activities there as well in 2023 in addition to its European business.
Joint internationalization strategy
A major step towards growth: In spring 2022, AMCS, the world’s leading supplier of integrated software and vehicle technology for the environmental, utility, recycling and resource industries, announced its acquisition of Quentic. The merger of the two market leaders will provide digital business solutions for a healthier, cleaner, and more sustainable future. The first step of the joint growth strategy 2023 is an increased focus on North America: "We have built a strong position in the European market over the past 15 years. Now we are looking west and together with AMCS will focus more on the North American market in the future," reveals Markus Becker, CEO of Quentic.
Over 100 new customers, a third of them international
The first customers have already been acquired. In North America, for example, a Chicago-based vehicle manufacturer is now using Quentic to strengthen its occupational safety, environmental, sustainability, and quality management.
In total, more than 100 new customers were acquired last year, ranging from medium-sized companies to large corporations. The Berlin-based company welcomed new customers such as Peikko Group Oy from Finland, SMT (Services Machinery Trucks) GB from the UK, as well as Nemera Services and Gie Osiris from France. Uzin Utz Nederland BV, Schunk Xycarb Technology, Byondis and Ammega Group were acquired from the Netherlands.
Also in Germany, numerous companies have decided to take the next step in their digitalization strategy and use Quentic for their EHSQ and ESG management. Well-known customers include LOWA Sportschuhe GmbH and Enpal B.V. "About a third of our new customers come from abroad. We continue to stay particularly strong in Europe but are pleased to have convinced the first customers in North America with our software solution. These are initial successes that we now want to drive forward in the coming year," continues Becker.
Customers can now also manage biological agents according to EU standards
Quentic has also reached important technical milestones. One highlight was the extension of the Quentic software with the new "Biological Agents" module component. This enables companies to maintain a well-organized inventory of biological agents. The specially designed data record forms are based on the requirements of the European Directive 2000/54/EC. "The new functions provide companies with practical support in their daily work and at the same time strengthen their compliance," explains Dr. Mario Lenz, Chief Product Officer at Quentic.
Once again named as a leading EHS software provider
For the third time, Quentic has been recognized as a leading provider of environmental, health, and safety software solutions in the "Green Quadrant EHS Software" global benchmarking study conducted by independent research firm Verdantix. The study compared 23 of the most prominent EHS software vendors based on a combination of capabilities and strategic success factors. Year-on-year, Quentic improved and expanded its performance in several categories, including "Mobile Solutions" and "User Interface." The German service provider is also the only vendor to receive a top score of 3.0 for “Deployment,” demonstrating true SaaS thinking across architecture, organization, and processes. Verdantix also confirmed the Berlin-based SaaS provider's stronger positioning and expanded reach, also beyond Europe, through its new group affiliation with AMCS.
Top Company Seal: Excellent work environment
Quentic has once again been voted one of the most popular employers on the kununu rating platform and has thus once again been awarded the Top Company Seal. This puts the Berlin-based company in the top 5 percent of the most popular companies on the platform in the DACH region. This is also reflected in the number of employees. Last year alone, Quentic hired a total of 85 experts. With that, the company reached the 300 mark last year and now employs people from 27 nations.
